1943年，第二次世界大战期间，被占领的苏联即将迎来漫长的冬天。IstvánSemetka是一支匈牙利特种部队的一员，他的任务是挨家挨户搜寻游击队员。一天，部队在向一个偏僻的村庄行军时，遭到敌人的炮火袭击。指挥官被击毙，作为最高级别的军官，Semetka必须接任。穿过一片沼泽地，他把幸存者领到一个被占领的村庄，在那里与他们的分队汇合。
