清朝末年，从不败诉的潮汕第一鬼才状师夏雨来一生都在行侠仗义，但因其“夏狐狸”式的行事作风，屡屡与理想成为大清首位女状师的女儿夏来碧产生矛盾。彼时外国资本势力强势入侵潮汕商业市场，在一连串啼笑皆非的民间案件和商战后，夏家父女逐渐发现到外国势力背后的可怕阴谋。此时，女儿却被污蔑为杀人放火的凶手，父亲为此站上公堂以唇枪舌剑对抗奸商恶官。最后，父女同心，团结潮汕百姓，展开了“胶己人”与外敌的殊死对决……

影片根据二战真实故事改编。英国正遭受德国的强劲攻击，丘吉尔组建了一支秘密特工部队，由古斯·马奇-菲利普斯上尉（亨利·卡维尔饰）率领由玛琼莉·斯图尔特（艾莎·冈萨雷斯饰）、安德斯·拉森（阿兰·里奇森饰）等6位特工组成的极具“疯”格的精锐小队，通过一系列“非常规”、“无下限”的手段硬刚德军部队，最终逆天颠覆战局，在对抗纳粹的战争中取胜功不可没。

年轻军官许文强（张国荣）逃往路上被日本特务伏击堕海，漂浮到外滩岸上时身体不支晕倒，丁力（刘德华）路过欲将其救却遭其下意识的武力，两人一番打斗后结为好友。丁力偶然救下上海大亨冯敬尧（吴兴国）的千金冯程程（宁静）后，许下心愿要娶其为妻，但襄王有梦神女却心另有所属，冯程程只把他当好朋友，爱的恰是某次旅途中在火车上结识的他的好兄弟许文强，而许文强也因她的勇敢善良机智对她产生了好感。许文强再次遇上冯程程时，激情没能控制，与丁力的交情画上句号。而当许文强与冯程程谈婚论嫁时，许文强意外发现冯敬尧正是追杀他和同僚的幕后黑手，他的身份也被对方认出，火药味顿时弥漫房间。
