影片讲述了一个扣人心弦的故事，刚刚从候选名单中脱颖而出并拥有丰厚的财富的市长，他的女儿忽然遭到绑架，朋友们都建议给绑匪现金以赎回女儿，他也开始筹备赎款，不久之后，绑匪似乎不愿再等待，这个时候一切的阴谋浮出水面……
