生活在大都市里，很多时候意味着现代化的隔离，繁华难以掩盖心灵的孤单与寂寞。但对于生活在一个看上去有些古怪的社区的阿诺德来说，生活变成了一种亲密与温馨。这个热爱运动，穿着笔挺衣服，带着墨镜并且长着橄榄球一样脑壳的四年级学生，与他的爷爷奶奶一起生活在这里，和他的朋友杰拉尔德以及对他又爱又恨的海尔格一起享受着美好的童年时光。但是当贪婪的商业大亨史艾克煽动市长，准备将社区房地产收购用来建设他的伟大商业街区的时候，阿诺德他们的生活面临着最大的挑战。他与杰拉尔德一起，制定计划，并在“超级英雄”圣布里奇特和声音低沉的神秘人的帮助下，与史艾克和他的党羽们开始了一场“社区保卫战”。他们能在推土机把这些老房子被铲平前找到那份关键性的文件么？还是在下一部阿诺德的系列影片中他们只能异地而居了呢？让我们看下去吧。【角色介绍】阿诺德：主人公，一上来就要面对拯救社区的任务。当周围人甚至倔强的奶奶都准备放弃了，他还在朋友们帮助下，抗争到底。杰拉尔德：阿诺德的朋友，扮演着罗宾汉似的角色。专门在关键时刻介绍有用的帮手和关键的信息给阿诺德。海尔格：尽管她表面上表现得无法容忍阿诺德的行为，甚至恨他，但每一个人都知道她实际上心里面爱着阿诺德。当她面对着两难选择，她会帮助阿诺德守卫他们的房子，还是跟随她的父亲大鲍勃·帕塔奇的商业梦想呢？女孩的心，很难猜的透啊。圣布里奇特：每座城市都应该有它的“超级英雄”，尽管有的时候这些人并不为多数人所知。而圣布里奇特，作为一个拥有神秘机器的酷酷的女孩，就成为阿诺德能否成功的关键人物。格林先生：对于周围的邻居来说，格林先生似乎生下来就是个卖肉的屠户。继承祖传家业的他，看起来对将老房子卖掉然后去在什么新的豪华商区卖肉毫无兴趣。那么，他会站在阿诺德一边么？史艾克：一个拥有庞大的事业却毫无社会道德的房地产大亨。他总是向别人推销“变化总是美好的”观点，借机会在房地产界翻云覆雨。也许他身上唯一美好的东西，就是他那身昂贵的衣服了。声音低沉的神秘人：主角们要面对几乎不可能完成的任务，之所以能够坚持下去，还是多亏了这位神秘的，总是通过电话提供关键情报的人。但他究竟是谁呢？迪克西市长：一门心思追求城市发展的女强人。甚至当具有历史意义的老房子面临被摧毁的命运时，她还是为了理想中的豪华商区，让史艾克为所欲为。爷爷菲尔：乐天派，即使面临家被摧毁的命运，还是每天安心地待在池塘边。他甚至告诉阿诺德，即使房子被拆，举家搬到加拿大，也是不错的哩！奶奶格蒂：看上去是个不起眼的小老太太，但却是天生的斗士。为了正义她将战斗到底，没有人可以阻止。但可惜，她有时不知道究竟是为什么在战斗……大鲍勃·帕塔奇。海尔格的父亲，是一个掉到钱眼儿里的人。他可是对推掉老房子建设新商区最迫不及待的人之一。“粉条”尼克：史艾克的忠诚党羽。帮助史艾克四处劝说别人放弃老房子，狡猾的家伙。【背景&评论】对于美国的观众来说，阿诺德这个卡通形象自八十年代以来就已经深入人心了，可以说是为美国人心理量身打造的。当然这也意味着，对于那些国外的观众，甚至是新到美国的移民，都显得不太容易接受。但这并不妨碍，一方面美国的小孩子们在论坛上对各种可能的细节展开激烈的讨论，另一方面各种非官方网站纷纷应运而生。可惜笔者转来转去，对他们讨论的话题实在是产生不了兴趣，文化差异的力量，没办法。本片导演塔克·塔克尔是首次执导。但他以前曾经参与过迪斯尼的卡通片《小美人鱼》的动画制作，也算是圈内人转行。而两位编剧也是首次投身电影编剧工作，不过他们都是这部电视系列卡通的原班编剧。与前些日子的《史酷比》ScoobyDoo一样，《嘿，阿诺德!》同样是把经典的电视系列卡通搬上了荧幕。不过与之不同的是，它不强调运用什么高科技，甚至连人物的绘制都有点《樱桃小丸子》似的简单另类。所以它强调的重点在于剧情。说起这部卡通的剧情，至少，个人感觉，比起什么拯救人类之类的同类卡通，要好得多也有意义的多。更何况现在中国也面临着建设现代化大都市的宏伟规划与保留我们曾经充满人情味的胡同、小巷的冲突问题。有人甚至把它提到了是人文战胜科技还是科技战胜人文的高度。但美国人就不同了，一部短短的卡通，让孩子们都能够开始加入到思考当中去。孰优孰劣，非常明显不过了。有的时候虽然说美国人幼稚，但他们处理问题的方法，总是显得行之有效。包括美国足球队在本届世界杯上能走这么远，也与他们办事的风格是分不开的。我们又能从中吸取到什么东西呢？
